Associate Structural Design EngineerRPS is seeking an experienced
Associate Structural Design Engineer
to join our Structures Team. Our Design Division delivers projects across sectors including residential, logistics, retail, aviation, healthcare, education, manufacturing, data centres, energy, and more. We focus on balancing form and function, sustainability, materiality, cost, and constructability. Digitalisation enables immersive client experiences from project concept through detailed design, leveraging decades of expertise across disciplines.What you’ll be doing:
This role offers career progression for a Structural Engineer within our reputable industry-leading team. You will manage the full project lifecycle, oversee financial aspects, and lead a team of engineers. Reporting to the Director of Structural Engineering, your duties include:Assist in managing the structural engineering teamIndependently manage projects and teamsHandle project financial responsibilitiesPrepare fee quotations and invoicesManage staff and consultantsDevelop engineering and technical teamsCollaborate with stakeholders and clientsConduct site visits, structural surveys, investigations, and repairs for issues from fires to foundation problemsWho we’re looking for:
You should have a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent), preferably be chartered with ICE, IStructE, or progressing towards chartership. You should also:Be experienced in designing foundations, masonry, concrete, steel, and timber structures to EurocodesHave residential market experience, including traditional and framed structuresPossess market awareness, financial management skills, and client development experienceBe experienced in structural investigations for residential and commercial propertiesPreferably have experience related to the Building Safety ActBe familiar with Tekla (Tekla Designer, Tedds) and ideally AutoCAD/RevitDemonstrate strong leadership and decision-making skillsBe motivated, autonomous, and innovativeWhat’s in it for you?
