Social network you want to login/join with:An exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to take a senior position within an impact and planning team, managing Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and related environmental planning projects. You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality advice, managing multi-disciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practice.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage environmental planning projects, from feasibility through to completionOversee the preparation and review of EIAs, Screening and Scoping Requests, and related technical reportsProvide strategic advice on environmental planning matters, including TCPA and DCO schemesManage workloads, budgets, and resourcing for a small teamLiaise with clients, statutory consultees, local authorities, and community stakeholdersContribute to business development, including tenders, proposals, and marketing activitiesMaintain awareness of emerging environmental and planning legislation and best practiceSupport team growth, mentoring, and professional developmentKey Requirements6+ years’ post-qualification experience in consultancy or public sectorDegree or master’s in environmental planning, policy, development, or a related subjectStrong working knowledge of EIA regulations and UK planning/environmental legislationConfident project manager with experience leading complex, multi-disciplinary projectsExcellent communication, report writing, and stakeholder engagement skillsCommercially aware, with an interest in business developmentIdeally full membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. IEMA, RTPI, CIEEM)Competitive salary with performance-based reviewsFlexible/hybrid working arrangementsGenerous annual leave entitlementProfessional development support (including CPD and paid memberships)Health, wellbeing, and employee assistance programmeRegular company events and networking opportunitiesWhen applying to any role through Cobalt, your CV will never be shared with a client without your prior consent.
