We foster a diverse and inclusive work environment where world-class talent thrives.As an Associate Director in River Engineering, you''ll play a key role in river engineering and flood defence on Transformational Programmes for UK infrastructure, with opportunities to work on iconic projects domestically and internationally.We specialise in all aspects of river engineering across sectors like Water, Aviation, Defence, Energy, and Cities and Development. We deliver industry-leading solutions throughout the project lifecycle, including client-side support and construction phases. Lead and manage teams undertaking technical design work following relevant standards and high-quality benchmarks.Define project briefs, scopes of work, and contribute to bid proposals.Manage time and budgets effectively to meet project milestones.Collaborate with UK and overseas teams to deliver integrated design solutions.Set quality assurance standards in design.Develop and manage engineering capabilities within the practice.What you can bring:
Chartered Civil Engineer or equivalent.Experience in design delivery, including multidisciplinary projects.Knowledge in flood walls, embankments, weirs, hydraulic structures, culverts, scour protection, and construction logistics.Familiarity with UK design standards and practices.Proficiency in traditional and environmentally-focused engineering solutions using nature-based strategies.What we offer:
