Assistant Transport Manager C£38k + Excellent Benefits Oxfordshire Our client is a leading Non-Food FMCG Distributor who is currently recruiting for an Assistant Transport Manager to become part of their efficient and cost effective Transport and Planning department, on a Monday to Friday basis (12pm to 8pm). Reporting into the Transport Operations Manager, you will be expected to provide efficient and cost-effective planning of all outbound workloads across 4 sites, liaising with 3rd party suppliers, internal operations and customer service teams. In conjunction with the Transport Operations Manager, the role s primary responsibility is for the day to day running of the transport team including responsibility for managing the workflows within the team and allocating resources to deliver excellent customer services to internal and external customers and to achieve departmental targets. Key Accountabilities as Assistant Transport Manager: Planning both collection and outbound workloads to appropriate 3rd party carriers dependent on volume, service and cost. Day to day management and support of the transport team. First point of escalation for the transport team to internal and external clients.
