Assistant Site Manager - Kendal

A well-established and highly regarded regional housebuilder is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to support the delivery of a new-build residential development in Burneside, Kendal. Known for producing high-quality homes and maintaining excellent build standards, the company has a strong pipeline of projects across Cumbria and the North West.

Your new role

Due to increased workloads, an experienced Assistant Site Manager is required to join the site team on a busy housing development. Working closely with the Site Manager, you will help oversee daily site operations, coordinate subcontractors, monitor health and safety, and ensure work is delivered to programme and quality standards.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the day-to-day management of site activities
• Monitoring subcontractor performance and site progress
• Maintaining high health and safety standards across the development
• Supporting quality inspections and snagging processes
• Helping ensure plots are delivered on schedule
• Conducting site inductions and toolbox talks
• Liaising with customers, suppliers and the wider management team

What you''ll need to succeed

• Previous experience in an Assistant Site Manager or Finishing Foreman role
• Residential housebuilding experience is essential
• SMSTS or SSSTS qualification
• Valid CSCS Card
• First Aid at Work certificate
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work effectively within a busy site team
