As Assistant Ranger you''ll deliver an agreed programme of practical, interpretive, ecological and administrative works providing high-quality management of the park where both visitors and wildlife are kept in mind, helping to balance the needs of recreation and conservation wherever appropriate. Details of our site and what we offer is available via this link: River Hamble Country Park Things to do in Hampshire Hampshire County CouncilThis role supports our existing Casual Assistant Ranger work and will be predominantly focused on carrying out practical management work as outlined by our management plan. During our peak summer months this role will support day to day works of cleaning bbqs, normal groundworks and habitat management. You''ll have regular contact with our expansive volunteer team across the park as well as stakeholders and other Countryside Service teams.Throughout your contract, your role will be to carry out a wide range of practical maintenance including frequent site patrols, litter picking, site maintenance, woodland management and the management of site infrastructure. Habitat management will predominantly be woodland focused and eradicating invasive species.
