Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Assistant Portsmouth Salary: Up to £42,000 per annum Contract: 21-Month Fixed-Term Contract An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or experienced Commercial Assistant to join an established construction contractor on a major project in Portsmouth. This is a site-based position offered on a 21-month fixed-term contract and would suit an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Assistant, with at least one year''s construction industry experience who is looking to gain greater responsibility and hands-on commercial experience on a substantial live project. The Role Working as part of the project commercial team and reporting to a Senior Quantity Surveyor and the Commercial Director, you will assist with the financial and contractual management of the project throughout its delivery. Your responsibilities will include supporting the procurement of subcontractors, suppliers and materials, obtaining and comparing quotations and assisting with the preparation and maintenance of procurement schedules. You will review construction drawings, specifications and project information, undertake measurements and material take-offs and assist with the preparation of cost estimates and procurement information.
