Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Location: HorshamSalary: Up to £35KAn established construction main contractor delivering projects across the UK is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team based in Horsham.This position would suit a recently graduated Quantity Surveyor or someone with some industry experience who is keen to develop their technical and commercial skills in a supportive, professional environment.ResponsibilitiesAssisting the Quantity Surveying team with the management of commercial elements throughout the project lifecycleSupporting cost control activities to minimise costs and maximise value for moneyAssisting in ensuring projects meet required quality and contractual standardsHelping to identify and manage contractual and commercial risks and opportunitiesAssisting with cost planning, budgeting, and contract administrationSourcing specified materials in line with cost, quality, and programme requirementsAttending project and progress meetings to assist with commercial mattersOngoing liaison with site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and client representativesSupporting the Project Manager in ensuring contractual obligations are fulfilledAssisting with valuations, variations, and final accounts as requiredAbout YouDegree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline (or working towards)Demonstrable commercial awareness and an interest in cost managementA practical, methodical, and organised approach to workWillingness to attend ..... full job details .....
