Senior Quantity Surveyor

An established and ambitious main contractor is seeking a commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its team, based out of its office in the South. This is a dynamic and fast-paced environment, offering the opportunity to further develop your commercial expertise, negotiation skills, and strategic input across a diverse portfolio of construction projects.The RoleYou will take full commercial responsibility for major construction projects across sectors such as commercial, education, healthcare, and mixed-use developments.The role involves managing project budgets, valuations, forecasting, subcontract procurement, and cost control procedures to ensure financial performance is achieved while maintaining quality, safety, and compliance standards.You will also support and mentor junior members of the commercial team, helping to drive performance and professional development.Key ResponsibilitiesImplement and maintain effective cost control procedures in line with company policyManage project budgets, valuations, and monthly forecasting of final accountsProduce accurate cost value reconciliations (CVRs)Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly commercial reportsLead value engineering and cost optimisation exercisesWork closely with design teams to ensure cost-effective project deliveryPrepare and manage project start budgets in collaboration with pre-construction and delivery teamsProcure subcontractors, materials, and services in line with company governanceAdminister ..... full job details .....
