About the Role

As an Assistant Independent Living Partner based in Bordon, you will support older residents to live independently and safely within a Housing Association’s leasehold, Extra Support, or Extra Care schemes. This full-time temporary contract spans three months, offering £15.00 to £15.17 per hour, with working hours from 8am to 4pm. Your duties include handling tenant queries, performing compliance and health and safety checks, managing the social alarm system, and fostering engaged communities. You will act as the primary contact for residents, ensuring their housing needs are met. This role requires a genuine passion for supporting older people, strong communication skills, and the ability to build trusting relationships.

Are you passionate about helping older people live independently, safely and with confidence?
We’re looking for an Assistant Independent Living Partner to join a team within an established Housing Association on a 3 Month Temporary contract basis.
Working 8am–4pm, you’ll play a key role assisting the Independent Living Partner delivering housing management services to older people living within leasehold, Extra Support or Extra Care schemes in the local area.
Acting as point of contact for tenants you will be involved in:

  • assisting with queries
  • carrying out compliance and health and safety checks
  • managing the social alarm system
  • helping to build vibrant, engaged communities for residents.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with excellent communication skills, a flexible approach, a strong understanding of the needs of older people and experience of housing-related issues and tenancy management.
You’ll need to be confident using IT systems, able to work independently in a lone-working role, and committed to providing high-quality, customer-focused support that promotes independence.
A full driving licence and access to a car is essential. You’ll also need flexibility to work outside normal hours, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays when required, supporting emergency response in critical out-of-hours situations.
A DBS check will be required.
