Assistant Headteacher (Teaching and Learning)

Integrity Education Solutions are supporting an independent SEN provider, who are seeking to appoint an Assistant Headteacher (Teaching and Learning) within their specialist remote learning provision from January 2027. This is a strategic educational leadership role responsible for driving high-quality teaching, learning, curriculum and assessment across a specialist online provision supporting pupils with complex and co-morbid needs, including neurodiversity and Emotional Based School Avoidance (EBSA). Working closely with the Principal and wider SLT, the successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of the school''s teaching and learning strategy, ensuring education is inclusive, ambitious, adaptive and responsive to individual starting points and needs. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership for teaching, learning and curriculum, establishing consistently high expectations across the school. Develop and evaluate the school''s Teaching and Learning strategy, ensuring it reflects the specialist context of online education. Provide strategic oversight of curriculum design, ensuring provision is broad, ambitious, appropriately sequenced and responsive to SEND, EHCP outcomes, prior learning and future aspirations. Lead quality assurance across teaching, learning, curriculum and assessment, using observations, work scrutiny, data and feedback to drive measurable improvement.
