Assistant Financial Controller (Reporting) - Manchester Location: ManchesterContract Duration: 10 monthsHours: 40 hours per week *Urgent 10 Month Contract* This is a *Manchester* based role with an excellent immediate start within a Global Technology Client that is working to *Drive the timely resolution of reporting and accounting queries.* Job Summary Our client is seeking an experienced Assistant Financial Controller (Reporting) to join the Reporting and Operations team in Manchester. The successful candidate will act as the key technical accounting expert within the Reporting function, taking ownership of group reporting requirements and supporting the end-to-end external audit process. The role requires a strong understanding of both the balance sheet and PandL, with the confidence to challenge accounting treatments and ensure the integrity and accuracy of reported financial information. Key Responsibilities Own the relationship with the Group Reporting function, continuously improving the quality and detail of submissions and schedules provided to Group Finance. Drive the timely resolution of reporting and accounting queries. Support the management of the external audit process, acting as a key liaison for auditors and coordinating audit deliverables across the finance team. Maintain a working understanding of the full balance sheet and PandL to ensure appropriate accounting standards are consistently applied.
