Assistant Estimator

Our Civil Engineering client operates throughout the UK delivering integrated solutions for projects in Water, Utilities, Rail, Highway s and Energy. Their Civils division operates within the water industry delivering non-infrastructure civil packages for Tier1 main contractors. Due to continuous growth, they are looking for an Assistant Estimator to join their bid team. You will work on a flexible hybrid basis from their Cirencester office. Responsibilities: As Assistant Estimator you will assist in the preparation of detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction and infrastructure projects. Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documentation. Liaise with engineering, procurement, commercial and operational teams throughout the tender process. Assist in developing tender strategies and compiling submission documentation. Support the Commercial Manager with budgeting, forecasting, and tender submissions. Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations. Develop your understanding of infrastructure estimating, risk analysis and cost planning. Experience required: Proven experience as an Assistant Estimator within civil engineering or construction. Commercial awareness and understanding of construction costing. Strong numerical and analytical skills. Salary and Benefits £40,000 - £55,000 depending on experience. Hybrid working. Ongoing mentoring from experienced management team.
