This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and improvement of transport infrastructureRole OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and capable Assistant Engineer with 2-4 years of post-graduate experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be confident delivering small-scale schemes with minimal supervision and have a practical understanding of scheme design and delivery. This is a hands-on role requiring CAD proficiency and experience managing minor works from inception through to completion.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver small engineering schemes independently or with minimal oversight.Prepare and develop design drawings, schedules, and supporting documentation using AutoCAD.Lead on the design and delivery of:Marking and lining schemesTraffic signing schemesOther minor highway improvement schemes.Undertake site visits, surveys, and assessments as required.Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders throughout the scheme lifecycle.Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, work programmes, and progress reports.Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, safety regulations, and local authority guidelines.Support public consultation activities and respond to customer/stakeholder queries where necessary.Contribute to continuous improvement of delivery ..... full job details .....
