Assistant Director of Compliance and Building Safety

Location: Hybrid with national remit. Contracted to nearest office (Bradford/Burnley/Camberley/Peterborough/Stockton).Salary: Circa £90k per annumContract: Permanent, 35 hours per weekAbout the Role Provide strategic and operational leadership across compliance, building safety, and managing agent services. Ensure we meet and exceed regulatory obligations while delivering excellent, customer-focused safety services. Play a pivotal role in shaping our "Building a Safer Future" approach and ensuring every customer feels safe in their home.What You''ll DoLead asset compliance and building safety approach (gas, electrical, fire, asbestos, legionella, lifts, etc.)Ensure 100% compliance through robust systems, data ("golden thread"), and performance monitoringDrive zero-tolerance culture for health and safety risksOversee procurement and contract management for strong performance and valueAct as key contact with the Building Safety RegulatorDevelop KPIs and early warning indicators to manage and improve performanceLead high-performing teams and supply chains, embedding accountability and continuous improvementManage budgets and ensure efficient, cost-effective deliverySupport delivery of Asset Management Strategy and long-term investment plansAbout YouCIH Level 5 (or equivalent with CIH top-ups), or willingness to work towardsExtensive construction/related field experience with strong track record managing compliance and safety across large property portfoliosProven ability to ..... full job details .....
