Assistant Care Manager - Domiciliary & Extra Care

Location: Wirral
Salary: -30,127.50 per annum (-15.45 per hour)
Hours: Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Mileage Allowance
On-call and weekend availability required when necessary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assistant Care Manager to support the delivery of high-quality domiciliary and extra care services from a Wirral-based branch.

This role would suit an experienced care professional who is ready to take the next step in their management career, supporting the Registered Care Manager with the day-to-day running of the service, team performance, compliance and service development.

The role will also provide operational support to an Assisted Living Facility when required, ensuring safe, effective and person-centred care is maintained across both services.

• Support the day-to-day management and coordination of the branch
• Support the delivery of high-quality domiciliary and extra care services
• Assist with maintaining accurate records, reports and documentation
• Manage and investigate complaints from service users and employees
• Support the recruitment, onboarding and development of care staff
• Produce and manage staffing rotas to meet service requirements
• Support business development and identify opportunities for service growth
• Ensure regulatory, operational, health & safety and compliance requirements are met
• Participate in on-call duties and respond to operational issues when required
• Provide hands-on care support during periods of staff shortage where necessary
• Build positive relationships with commissioners, stakeholders, service users and colleagues
• Work collaboratively across departments to deliver positive outcomes
• Support the ongoing development, supervision and performance of the care team
• Provide operational support to the Assisted Living Facility when required

We''re looking for someone who is:

• Experienced within domiciliary care management or supervision
• A confident leader who can motivate, develop and support teams
• Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities
• An excellent communicator with strong relationship-building skills
• Knowledgeable about care sector regulations and operational compliance
• Commercially aware with a proactive approach to service development
• Flexible and willing to support the service when required
• Committed to delivering high-quality care and customer service
• Professional, reliable and solutions-focused

• Previous supervisory or management experience within domiciliary care
• NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care
• Full UK driving licence
• Access to your own vehicle
• Business-use motor insurance or willingness to obtain this
• Willingness to undertake an Enhanced DBS check
• Ability to participate in on-call duties when required

Desirable:

• Level 5 qualification in Health & Social Care or working towards one
• Previous experience producing staff rotas
• Experience supporting recruitment and onboarding
• Experience supporting operational performance and service growth
• Extra care or assisted living experience
