Assistant Buyer

Madisons are recruiting an Assistant Construction Buyer for a specialist interior fit out business based in Lichfield.The company specialises in the fit out of property in the retail, hospitality and leisure sectors across the UK.Duties: Convert internal requisitions into request for quotations and procure competitively from our external supply chain for multiple live fast track fit out projectsCo-ordinate logistics using direct transport and subcontractorsAuthorise invoices and manage queries efficientlyManage plant losses and damagesBuild solid relationships both internally and externally with our supply chains Requirements: Confident communication skills, both verbal and writtenStrong negotiation skillsAbility to handle multiple projects simultaneouslyKnowledge of construction materials and plant is desirableExperience of Microsoft Packages.
