Assistant Buyer

Madisons are recruiting an Assistant Construction Buyer for a specialist interior fit out business based in Lichfield.

The company specialises in the fit out of property in the retail, hospitality & leisure sectors across the UK.

Duties:

• Convert internal requisitions into request for quotations and procure competitively from our external supply chain for multiple live fast track fit out projects
• Co-ordinate logistics using direct transport & subcontractors
• Authorise invoices and manage queries efficiently
• Manage plant losses and damages
• Build solid relationships both internally & externally with our supply chains

Requirements: 

• Confident communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong negotiation skills
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Knowledge of construction materials & plant is desirable
• Experience of Microsoft Packages.

Further details: 

• Working hours are 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday 
• Immediate start available 
• Permanent role
• £27,500 per annum- dependant on experience would be negotiable
