Assistant AccountantAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join a well-established organisation based in Halifax on a 12-month fixed-term contract.This role is ideal for an ambitious finance professional who is looking to further develop their accounting experience within a supportive and collaborative finance team.Key ResponsibilitiesAssisting with the preparation of monthly management accountsCompleting balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variancesMaintaining the fixed asset registerSupporting month-end and year-end processesPreparing and posting journals, accruals and prepaymentsAssisting with budgeting and forecasting activitiesSupporting audit requirements and responding to information requestsProcessing and reconciling financial transactionsProducing accurate financial reports and analysis for stakeholdersIdentifying opportunities to improve financial processes and controlsAbout YouThe successful candidate will:Have previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar finance rolePossess strong analytical and problem-solving skillsDemonstrate excellent attention to detail and accuracyHave good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial systemsBe able to manage workloads effectively and meet deadlinesBe studying towards AAT, ACCA, CIMA or ACA (desirable)Have strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departmentsWhat''s on Offer?Salary: 30,000- 33,000Supportive and ..... full job details .....
