Assistant Accountant We are seeking a reliable, analytical and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our busy Finance team within a leading manufacturing company. Salary: £35000-£40,000 per annum (pro rata, depending on experience) Location: Kettering (Office Based) Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.75 hours per week Closing Date: 28/11/2025 This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting the company''s financial operations from payroll processing to management accounts and analytical reporting within a fast-paced and supportive environment. About the Role As an Assistant Accountant, you''ll provide essential financial and administrative support across all areas of the finance function. Working closely with colleagues across departments, you''ll ensure accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of accounting and reporting. Key responsibilities include: Preparing monthly accounts to trial balance. Completing month-end routines including accruals, prepayments and journals. Reconciling bank and nominal accounts and assisting with cash flow forecasting. Managing the fixed asset register and posting depreciation. Administering suggested payment runs and analysing statistical data. Supporting sales and purchase ledger functions as required. Assisting with year-end accounts preparation and audit support.
