Our client is seeking a proactive Assistant Accountant to join their finance team and support our Purchases, Payables, and Payments processes with offices in Bedford.DescriptionAssistant Accountant:Managing the purchase ledger and ensuring accurate processing of supplier invoices and paymentsPreparing supplier payment runs and regular/ad-hoc expenditure analysisCo-administering the P2P and expense systemsSupporting month-end processes including accruals, prepayments, and reconciliationsAssisting with fixed asset transactions and year-end audit schedulesCollaborating with the Financial AccountantProfilePrevious Assistant Accountant experience or similarStrong accounting knowledgeExcellent numerical, analytical, and communication skillsIntermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF)Experience in purchase ledger and month-end reporting cyclesA keen eye for detail and ability to work independentlyEnthusiasm for process improvement and teamworkJob OfferHourly rate up to 20 per hour depending on experience.Temporary role offering flexibility and valuable industry experience.Engage with a professional team in the Technology and Telecoms industry.Potential for future assignments or extended opportunities. ..... full job details .....
