Assistant Accountant

Job Title: Assistant AccountantLocation: Knaresborough Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annumHours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Accountant to join a successful and established organisation. Working closely with the Group Management Accountant, you will support a range of finance activities including month end processes, management accounts, reporting, reconciliations and financial analysis. This role is ideal for a finance professional looking to develop their accounting career within a supportive team while gaining valuable experience across management accounting.Key Responsibilities of Assistant Accountant:Support month end processes, including accruals and prepayments.Assist with management accounts preparation and financial reporting.Maintain accurate financial records and working papers.Support purchase ledger and sales ledger activities.Produce routine and ad hoc financial reports.Maintain asset and lease documentation.Assist with year end accounts and audit requirements.Analyse financial information to support business improvements.Experience Required: Previous experience within a finance role.Good understanding of accounting processes and financial administration.Experience with reconciliations and maintaining accurate records.Strong IT skills, including Excel and finance systems.Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines.
