Assistant Accountant

Your new companyA growing engineering and manufacturing business based in Cornwall is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join its finance team on a temporary basis.The organisation is undergoing an exciting period of growth and transformation, with a strong focus on improving processes, developing systems and strengthening its finance function.This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking business that can offer exposure across a broad range of finance activities.Your new roleWorking closely with the Finance Manager and Management Accountant, you will support the day-to-day running of the finance function whilst gaining exposure to wider accounting responsibilities.Key duties will include:Purchase Ledger processing and supplier managementBank reconciliationsCredit control supportAccruals and prepaymentsAssisting with management accounts preparationBudget monitoring and reportingMonth-end accounting activitiesSupporting project accounting processesFinancial reporting and analysisAssisting with finance process improvements and systems developmentsThis role offers significantly more exposure than a traditional Accounts Assistant position and would suit someone looking to bridge the gap between transactional finance and management accounting.What you''ll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:AAT Level 4 qualification or be actively studying towards AATPrevious experience within an Assistant Accountant, Finance Assistant or Accounts ..... full job details .....
