Assistant Accountant

A well-established business in Kirkbymoorside are currently for an Assistant Accountant to join their finance team on a permanent basis. As an Assistant Accountant, you will:

• Credit control including reviewing and amending customer credit limits as and when necessary
• Bank Reconciliations
• Assist and cover all Purchase Ledger tasks as and when required
• Support with the monthly financial close process, ensuring all deadlines are met
• Support and cover Payroll
• Other ad hoc duties as required

To be successful in this Assistant Accountant role, you will ideally have/be:

• AAT qualification (qualified, studying towards or working at an equivalent level already)
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as a-keen eye for detail and accuracy
• The ability to work independently and within a team, with strong communication skills
• Proactive and hands-on, with a can-do attitude
