Asset Operations Officer - HighwaysLocation: South London - predominantly site-based Contract: Initial 6-month contract, with potential for extension Rate: 272.14 per day Umbrella Start Date: 2 November 2026We are currently recruiting for an Asset Operations Officer to support the day-to-day operation and maintenance of a major urban highway network.This is a predominantly site-based position, working closely with contractors, suppliers, internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure highway assets are safe, well maintained and operating to the required standards.Key Responsibilities:Support the day-to-day delivery of regional highway operations alongside contractors, suppliers and internal teams.Monitor works and contractor performance to ensure quality, safety and operational standards are maintained.Carry out site inspections and checks on completed works, including quality and quantity checks.Identify defects, risks and opportunities for improvement across the network.Support the management of minor works and operational activities.Liaise with local authorities, boroughs, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders.Provide operational input into schemes and projects.Assist with responses to incidents and emergencies, helping to minimise disruption and maintain network safety.Maintain accurate records and provide operational information and reporting.Attend site as required and potentially participate in an on-call rota.About You:The successful candidate will have ..... full job details .....
