Assembler (Electro-Mechanical)

Pay: -12.71 per hour + opportunities to increase your rate as you develop in the role

Location: Littlehampton

Hours: 7am to 4:15pm (Monday to Thursday) 7am to 12pm (Friday)

Contract: Rolling contract basis

Our client, a well-established manufacturer, is looking for a reliable Assembler to join their team in Littlehampton. You''ll carry out routine electronic / electro-mechanical assembly on components and sub-assemblies, working to production schedules and quality standards. Tasks are standardised, but the day-to-day work may vary.

• Assemble, modify, rework and re-assemble units using Operational Method Sheets, drawings, schematics, and verbal/written instructions
• Use electronic assembly equipment safely and correctly
• Work on semi-routine assemblies, with the ability to spot and highlight non-conformities
• Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and supervisors
• Follow all health & safety requirements at all times
• Work in line with ISO practices and procedures
• Maintain fixtures and complete calibration, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance where required
• Support the training of other employees in established processes (where appropriate)
• Consider the impact of quality on the end customer when making decisions
• Occasional travel may be required

• Minimum 1 year''s electro-mechanical assembly experience (or equivalent)
• Previous soldering experience
• Comfortable working under limited supervision
• Able to work accurately and ensure tasks are completed fully and correctly
• Confidence to contribute to corrective actions and continuous improvement
• Basic IT skills (e.g., Word, Outlook) and ability to learn internal systems
• Basic understanding of SAP and change/control processes is helpful

• Environment: Manufacturing facility
• Physical requirements: Standing, sitting, walking, and manual handling including lifting/carrying, pushing and pulling (without assistance)
