About the School:

The school is dedicated to helping children thrive, particularly those facing additional challenges such as Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). They are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Teaching Assistant to join their team and provide tailored support to students with ASC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with class teachers to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated activities.
- Support the implementation of personalised learning strategies and behaviour plans.
- Assist in the creation and execution of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), risk assessments, and care programmes.
- Collaborate with families, external professionals, and school staff to ensure holistic support.
- Build positive, therapeutic relationships with students and respond to their individual needs.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Experience working with children with Autism or a strong interest in supporting ASC learners.
- Solid understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and a desire to grow professionally in this area.
- Reliable and able to commit to regular working days (flexible hours available).
- Relevant qualifications such as NVQ in Childcare, Education, or Supporting Teaching and Learning.
- Background in care, residential support, or similar roles is advantageous.
- Personal experience with ASC, either professionally or personally, is welcomed.
- Training in Team Teach, TEACCH, or positive behaviour support is beneficial.
- Skilled in promoting independence and emotional wellbeing in young people.
- Must hold a valid DBS registered on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
