Are you passionate about supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and making a real difference in their educational journey£ A warm and inclusive primary school in Marlow is seeking a dedicatedandnbsp;ASD Teaching Assistantandnbsp;to join their team from late September 2025.

Role Responsibilities:


  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with ASD, helping them access the curriculum and develop key life skills
  • Implement strategies to support communication, sensory regulation, and emotional wellbeing
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning activities and monitor progress
  • Foster a safe, structured, and predictable environment that supports routine and reduces anxiety
  • Collaborate with families and external professionals to support EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and social interaction through positive reinforcement and tailored interventions

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:


  • Experience supporting children with ASD in a primary or specialist setting (preferred but not essential)
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to behaviour and communication challenges
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust-based relationships with pupils and staff
  • Confidence in supporting sensory needs and using visual aids, PECS, or other communication tools
  • A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and continuous professional development
