Are you passionate about supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and eager to make a meaningful impact in their educational journey£ A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Iver is looking for a committed ASD Teaching Assistant to join their team from late September 2025.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support for pupils with ASD, helping them engage with the curriculum and build essential life skills
- Use strategies to support communication, sensory regulation, and emotional wellbeing
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning activities and track pupil progress
- Create a safe, structured, and predictable environment to support routine and reduce anxiety
- Collaborate with families and external professionals to meet EHCP targets and implement personalised learning plans
- Promote independence, confidence, and social interaction through positive reinforcement and targeted interventions
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with children with ASD in a mainstream or specialist setting (preferred but not essential)
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to behavioural and communication challenges
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with pupils and staff
- Confidence in supporting sensory needs and using tools like PECS, visual aids, or other communication systems
- A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and continuous professional growth
