We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly respected engineering business for an Area Sales Manager to take ownership of a South UK territory.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced B2B industrial sales professional to develop new business, manage key customer relationships and deliver technically appropriate solutions within the manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities and grow the South UK territory.
• Convert inbound enquiries into profitable sales.
• Identify new customers, applications and market opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships.
• Conduct customer site surveys and understand manufacturing processes.
• Develop appropriate technical and commercial proposals.
• Manage the CRM pipeline, forecasting and sales activity accurately.
• Work closely with Engineering, Projects and Service teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Monitor market and competitor activity and contribute to exhibitions and business development initiatives.

Key Skills and Experience

We are looking for an experienced industrial B2B sales professional with a proven track record of achieving commercial targets.

You will ideally have:

• Experience selling into manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Strong technical and commercial understanding.
• Experience managing technical projects or solution-based sales.
• A consultative approach to customer engagement and business development.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organisation, self-motivation and time management.
• Experience with dust, fume or LEV extraction would be advantageous, although not essential.
