Hours : 32.5 hours per week
Working Pattern : Shifts 8am - 8pm, Weekend work is required on a rota basis
The Role
The organisation are looking for a confident swimmer with a calm, caring approach to join them as an Aquatics Therapy Assistant. Youll be part of a supportive, person-centred team delivering aquatic therapy sessions that build strength, improve movement, and bring joy to the children and young people at Foundation.
This is an active, collaborative role ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with others and using movement and interaction to support individual goals.
At the Foundation, youll be part of a vibrant, inclusive team supporting children and young adults with complex disabilities to thrive.

Key Responsibilities
Facilitating aquatic therapy planned by their on-site NHS physiotherapistsSupporting children and young adults with complex physical needs in the waterCreating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for allMonitoring progress and recording outcomes in line with their Aquatics CurriculumCollaborating with care, education, and physio teamsHelp deliver land-based movement sessions when not poolsideSupporting pool operations and maintaining high health and safety standards
Skills And Qualifications
A confident swimmer with the ability to meet National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) standardsNPLQ certified, or willing to train (theyll cover the cost)Experience supporting people with disabilities or complex needsGCSEs (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent in English and MathsCalm, proactive and team-focusedA passion for aquatics and helping others achieve their potential
Desirable
ASA/STA Level 1 or 2 in Teaching AquaticsExperience in a leisure, swimming or therapy settingUnderstanding of hydrotherapy or adapted physical activity
