My client is seeking an enthusiastic Apprentice Highway Design Engineer to join their growing team in Gateshead. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience on live infrastructure and development projects while building a long-term career within highways design. The Opportunity As an Apprentice Highway Design Engineer, you will work alongside experienced engineers and gain exposure to a variety of highways and infrastructure projects across the UK. You will be doing the following: Assisting with highway and infrastructure design work Supporting technical drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D Learning Section 278 and Section 38 highway design standards Assisting with drainage, junction and access designs Supporting reports, calculations and technical documentation Liaising with colleagues, local authorities and external consultants Developing knowledge of highways standards and project delivery This Apprentice Highway Design Engineer role offers excellent career progression, full support and ongoing training within a collaborative consultancy environment.
