SimWest Engineering Recruitment is recruiting an Applications Engineer for an established and growing machinery manufacturer, backed by a global organisation. Working between the Sales and Engineering teams, you will help turn customer requirements into practical machinery solutions, developing equipment concepts, CAD layouts, technical proposals and cost estimates. This is an ideal opportunity for an engineer who enjoys combining mechanical engineering, technical design and commercial project development. The Role As an Applications Engineer, your responsibilities will include: Applications Engineering: Reviewing customer requirements and identifying suitable machinery and automation solutions. 2D CAD and 3D Modelling: Producing machinery layouts, equipment arrangements and 3D concept designs. Technical Proposals: Preparing equipment specifications, technical documentation and engineering proposals. Estimating and Costing: Developing cost estimates and supporting the preparation of commercial quotations.
