An established Asset Manager is seeking a proactive

Application Support Specialist

to join their Front Office technology function. This is a hands-on role supporting business-critical trading and investment systems, where you’ll work closely with portfolio managers, traders, and cross-functional tech teams.Responsibilities

Provide front-line support for core trading and investment platformsInvestigate and resolve real-time application issues, minimising disruption to the businessWrite and maintain Python scripts for automation and support toolingManage and query databases using SQL; maintain awareness of data flows and schemasCollaborate with infrastructure, engineering, and front office teams to maintain robust system performanceParticipate in platform upgrades, deployments, and change management processesEnsure best practices in monitoring, incident management, and operational supportWhat You’ll Bring

Proven experience in an

Application Support

role within financial services, ideally asset management or tradingStrong

Python

scripting skills (essential)Solid

SQL

knowledge for data investigation and reportingFamiliarity with

AWS

cloud-based environmentsA deep understanding of the

full trade lifecycle

and investment operationsBackground in supporting mission-critical systems across Windows and Linux environmentsKnowledge of market data platforms, messaging protocols (e.g., FIX), or API integrations is a plusClear communicator with strong stakeholder engagement and documentation skillsExperience working within ITIL frameworks and regulated environmentsThe Offer
