Salary: -60-70K per annum + enhanced benefits

Location: Bracknell, with regular travel to London and the South West
Security Clearance: Must be willing and eligible to undergo high-level security clearance

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Security Application Architect to join a specialist engineering team supporting a secure Gateway solution.

This is a hands-on technical role suited to someone with a strong networking and Linux background who enjoys solving complex problems, supporting secure infrastructure and implementing technical changes.

The position also offers the opportunity to progress into a Project Lead role, making it ideal for someone looking to develop their technical leadership and project delivery experience.

• Design and implement technical changes to maintain and improve a secure Gateway solution.

• Support the availability, configuration and ongoing development of critical infrastructure.

• Work closely with Solution Architects, Engineering Leads and technical teams.

• Provide troubleshooting and technical support to SOC and 3rd Line teams.

• Support customer requirements and contribute to technical design decisions.

• Take increasing ownership of project activities, with a view to progressing into a Project Lead position.

• Strong networking and infrastructure background.

• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).

• Proficiency in Shell and Bash scripting.

• Experience supporting, configuring or maintaining technical infrastructure.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Experience with VMware/vSphere, SMTP, secure gateways, cross-domain solutions, firewalls, Active Directory, DNS or PKI would be advantageous.

• Based in Bracknell, with travel to Central London and other locations across the South of England.

• Overnight stays may occasionally be required, with expenses covered and trips communicated in advance.

• No shift work, although overtime is likely.

Candidates must be sole UK nationals, born in the UK, and able to obtain the required security clearance.

The successful candidate will initially work under an SC clearance waiver while the necessary clearance arrangements are progressed.
