Air Freight Import Clerk Greater Manchester AreaSalary: Competitive DOEPermanent Position About the Role: As Air Freight Import Clerk, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing import air freight shipments from arrival through to final delivery, ensuring shipments are processed accurately, compliantly, and within agreed customer and operational requirements. What you''ll do: Arrange and process import air freight shipments from arrival through to final delivery.Create and manage import files within operational systems.Ensure all shipment documentation is accurate and completed on time, including MAWB/HAWB and Import customs documentation.Liaise with customers, airlines, handling agents, hauliers, overseas offices, and internal departments.Arrange customs clearances and ensure all customs entries are completed accurately.Coordinate deliveries and transport requirements.Ensure customs compliance and import security requirements are met.Track shipments and provide proactive updates to customers.Resolve operational issues, delays, or service failures quickly and professionally.Ensure milestones and shipment updates are entered correctly within operational systems.Support timely and accurate billing by ensuring buy and sell rates are entered correctly.Maintain KPI and service level performance standards.Follow company SOPs, compliance procedures, and security regulations.Support team members during peak periods and holiday cover.
