Accounts Assistant

Job DescriptionWe are working with an excellent client who has been well-established for over 40 years, and they are currently looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their growing team.As the Accounts Assistant, you will be managing both purchase and sales ledger functions within a fast-paced finance environment.Benefits:Annual Salary of circa £30k - £33k (DOE)Hybrid working after probationFree onsite parkingPension schemeCareer development and supportive working environmentKey Responsibilities as the Accounts Assistant:Manage Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger functionsProcess invoices, create supplier / customer accounts, and issue statementsPerform daily bank and credit card reconciliations, accurately posting transactions onto accounting softwareManage credit control activities including producing aged debtor reports and chasing overdue paymentsPrepare weekly supplier payment runs in various currencies including international bank payments and currency purchasesBuild strong relationships with customers and suppliers while supporting the Finance Manager with reporting and ad hoc finance dutiesSkills and Requirements:Strong experience as an Accounts Assistant, Assistant Accountant or similar roleGood communication skills both written and verbalStrong attention to detail and proactive approachAccounting qualifications such as AAT part-qualified (desirable but not essential)Familiar with Microsoft excel and accounting softwareDisclaimerDue to the large number of ..... full job details .....
