Accounts Assistant - Purchase Ledger and Credit Control

Location: Trafford Park, Manchester Salary: £26,436.80 per annum Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm Are you an organised and detail-driven finance professional who enjoys taking ownership and keeping things running smoothly? We are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our established Manchester team in this varied role covering both Purchase Ledger and Credit Control. Reporting to the wider Finance Team, with a dotted line to the Site Managing Director, you''ll play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting cash flow and building strong relationships with both customers and suppliers. You''ll be responsible for processing and reconciling supplier invoices, matching purchase orders, resolving discrepancies, preparing payment runs, monitoring customer accounts, chasing outstanding debt and handling account queries professionally. You''ll also produce reports, maintain accurate records and ensure issues are followed through to resolution. We''re preferably looking for someone with previous accounts, purchase ledger and credit control experience, excellent Excel and IT skills, and proven Kerridge/Autoline expertise. You''ll be highly organised, resilient and confident managing competing priorities, with the communication skills to handle challenging conversations while maintaining excellent customer and supplier relationships.
