Are you an experienced Accounts Assistant looking for a varied role where you can take ownership of your workload and become a key part of a busy finance team?

I am recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join an established business based in Coatbridge. This is a hands on role covering sales ledger, purchase ledger, credit control and wider finance administration, with plenty of variety and responsibility.

You will work closely with colleagues across offices and report directly to the Accounts Manager.

What you''ll be doing
* Managing sales ledger and purchase ledger processes
* Raising invoices for intercompany and external clients
* Supporting credit control and following up on outstanding balances
* Processing reverse charge VAT and supporting CIS requirements
* Working extensively with Excel, including PivotTables and finance spreadsheets
* Extracting and analysing data from internal systems for invoicing and costing purposes
* Supporting month end processes and working to key finance deadlines
* Reviewing and processing timesheet and hours data
* Liaising regularly with colleagues across different office locations
* Providing cover for data processing activities when required
* Ensuring financial information is accurate and processed within agreed timescales

What we''re looking for
You will be confident working independently and comfortable taking ownership of your workload. This role would suit someone who is proactive, down to earth and able to get on with the job while still enjoying being part of a wider team.

Ideally, you will have:
* Previous experience within an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role
* Experience across sales ledger and purchase ledger
* Good credit control experience
* Strong Excel skills, ideally including PivotTables
* An understanding of VAT, with CIS experience beneficial
* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines
* A confident and proactive approach to managing your own workload
