Accounts Assistant

We are a small chemical manufacturing company seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to support our finance team with day-to-day accounting tasks. Three days per week. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of basic accounting principles, excellent organisational skills, and a willingness to learn and grow within a dynamic team. Key Responsibilities: Processing purchase and sales invoices accurately and in a timely manner Performing bank reconciliations and monitoring company bank accounts Assisting with month-end and year-end processes Managing petty cash Maintaining accurate financial records and filing systems Supporting credit control by chasing outstanding payments Responding to supplier and client queries via phone and email Liaising with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations Ad-hoc administrative duties and support to the finance team as required Requirements: Essential: Previous experience in an accounts or finance assistant role Strong numeracy and attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Familiarity with accounting software e.g Sage Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks Desirable: Experience in the manufacturing industry Drivers licence and own transport as trips to the bank and post office may be required from time to time What We Offer: Competitive salary Opportunities for ..... full job details .....
