Accounts Assistant Overview A well-established manufacturing business is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on site. This is a varied role supporting both finance and operations, ensuring smooth processing of accounts while keeping the factory and office teams connected. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Processing purchase invoices, sales invoices, and staff expenses accurately and on time Reconciling supplier statements and preparing payment runs for materials and services Supporting the month-end process, including stock adjustments, accruals, and journals Assisting with credit control, chasing outstanding payments from customers where needed Monitoring production-related costs and raising purchase orders for site requirements Maintaining accurate records within the ERP/MRP and accounting system Preparing basic reports for management, including spend analysis and cost tracking Liaising with operations, procurement, and stores teams to resolve queries quickly Providing general finance and administrative support to the wider site team Skills and Experience Previous experience in an accounts or finance support role, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering business Strong IT skills, particularly Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or similar) Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills Confident communicator, ..... full job details .....
