Accounts Assistant

Astute Recruitment are working with a well-established organisation in South Derbyshire to recruit an Accounts Assistant on a 6-month fixed-term contract, with a strong likelihood of becoming permanent.This is a great opportunity for someone who is proactive, enjoys being part of a team, and wants to gain broad, hands-on finance experience in a busy environment.The Role Will Involve:Daily bank reconciliations across multiple accountsMonitoring and reporting on cashflow and daily cash positionProcessing and allocating incoming receiptsInvestigating and resolving discrepanciesSupporting cashflow forecastingAssisting with month-end and balance sheet reconciliationsHandling billing and payment queriesSupporting wider finance tasks including APContributing to process improvementsThe Ideal Candidate:Experience in a finance or accounts roleStrong attention to detail and accuracyProactive attitude with a willingness to get stuck inA team player with a desire to learn and developConfident communicatorGood Excel skills (pivot tables and formulas beneficial)Benefits and Hours:Fully office-based (South Derbyshire)Hours: 8:30am - 5:30pm (flexible start times/lunch)Salary: up to £29,00025 days holiday + bank holidaysDiscretionary Christmas shutdownStrong opportunity to become ..... full job details .....
