Accounts Assistant

Accounts Assistant Location: Leicestershire (Hybrid working available after training) Salary: Up to £30,000 depending on experience We are representing a long-established and growing financial services organisation seeking to appoint an Accounts Assistant to join its finance team. This position plays a key role in supporting the finance function by ensuring accurate processing of financial transactions and maintaining high levels of compliance. The role offers exposure to a broad range of accounting tasks including transactional finance, payroll, and reconciliations. Process sales and purchase invoices using Sage while maintaining accurate Excel records Manage supplier payments and ensure timely settlements Perform bank, sales ledger, and purchase ledger reconciliations Record daily client transactions with accuracy and attention to detail Support the transfer of client funds in accordance with regulatory requirements Carry out daily reconciliations of client accounts Assist with the collection of fees and outstanding balances Manage petty cash and process cheque payments where necessary Maintain well-organised and compliant financial records and documentation Prepare payroll for pensions and partners Administer PAYE in line with current regulations Support year-end payroll processes and reporting Reconcile commission statements accurately Calculate and post prepayments and accruals Maintain and update fixed asset registers Perform intercompany reconciliations Post ..... full job details .....
