They are looking to appoint an experienced Accountant to join their team, managing a range of accounts, tax and compliance work while delivering a high-quality service and building strong, long-term client relationships.The RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for managing a varied portfolio of clients, preparing accounts and tax returns, handling compliance work and supporting junior members of the team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant looking to take ownership of their work while continuing to develop their technical and client management skills.Key responsibilities include: Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships. Preparing corporation tax computations and returns. Preparing personal tax returns and associated compliance work. Managing workloads effectively and ensuring assignments are completed within agreed budgets and deadlines. Identifying and resolving accounting, tax and record-keeping issues. Liaising directly with clients to obtain information, answer queries and explain technical matters. Building strong and trusted client relationships. Maintaining accurate and well-documented working papers. Clearing review points promptly and ensuring work is completed to a high standard.
