Accountant

An established and growing international manufacturing business is seeking a qualified Accountant to join its Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, partnering with stakeholders across the organisation and contributing to the continued success of a multi-entity business. The successful candidate will take ownership of the production of management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, statutory compliance activities, and business partnering support, while working closely with colleagues across the wider finance function and overseeing one team member. Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts and financial reports. Provide business partnering support and financial insight to operational and senior stakeholders. Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure robust financial controls are maintained. Review and investigate financial discrepancies, ensuring issues are resolved promptly. Reconcile key profit and loss accounts, including sales, cost of sales, and inventory movements. Prepare accruals, prepayments, and other month-end accounting adjustments. Maintain the fixed asset register, including leased assets. Review payroll calculations and ensure accuracy of related financial records. Manage payment runs and salary payments.
