Account Manager – Stone Fruit & Kiwi

If so, this could be an excellent opportunity to join an established fresh produce business and take ownership of key customer accounts within its Stone Fruit & Kiwi division.

About the Role

We are recruiting for an experienced Account Manager to manage and develop key customer relationships across the Stone Fruit & Kiwi category.

You will sit at the centre of the operation, working closely with customers, growers and internal teams to make sure products are available, quality requirements are met and customer expectations are consistently delivered.

This is a varied role combining account management, commercial activity, forecasting, supply chain coordination and relationship management, with the opportunity to become a key part of the continued growth of the category.

What You'll Be Doing

• Managing day-to-day relationships with key customer accounts, ensuring a high level of service.
• Acting as the main link between customers, international growers and internal teams.
• Monitoring customer requirements, forecasts, volumes, availability, waste and OTIF performance.
• Working with supply chain and buying teams to manage changing availability and seasonal requirements.
• Identifying potential risks, supply issues and commercial opportunities before they become problems.
• Resolving customer, quality and service issues quickly and professionally.
• Supporting commercial negotiations and customer reviews.
• Preparing and analysing sales, financial and performance information.
• Working closely with Technical, Buying, Supply Chain and Product Development teams.
• Supporting range reviews, category planning and seasonal programmes.
• Managing new product development projects from initial concept through to launch.
• Working with growers on new varieties, packaging developments and sustainability initiatives.
• Building strong, long-term relationships with both customers and suppliers.

About You

We're looking for someone who understands the pace and demands of working within a fresh produce, food or FMCG environment and enjoys combining customer relationships with commercial and operational responsibilities.

You'll ideally have:

• Previous experience in account management, commercial or customer-facing roles within fresh produce, food or FMCG.
• Experience managing customer accounts and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
• An understanding of fresh produce supply chains, seasonal availability and retailer requirements.
• Experience working with major UK retailers would be advantageous.
• Strong commercial awareness and confidence working with sales, financial and performance data.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Good organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills; Power BI experience would be beneficial.
• A proactive and resilient approach, with the ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
