1:1 Teaching Assistant (Full-Time)Location: Erdington, BirminghamHours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pmContract: Full-Time, Term Time OnlySalary: Competitive, dependent on experienceAbout the RoleWe are seeking a caring, committed, and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child with additional needs within a welcoming mainstream primary school in Erdington, Birmingham.This rewarding role involves working closely with an individual pupil, helping them to access learning, develop social skills, and achieve their full potential in a supportive classroom environment. The successful candidate will work alongside class teachers, SENCOs, and parents to provide consistent and effective support throughout the school day.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with additional needs.Assist the child in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities.Support the development of social, emotional, and communication skills.Implement strategies and interventions as directed by the class teacher and SENCO.Record and report on the pupil''s progress and wellbeing.Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.Attend meetings and training as required.The Ideal Candidate Will HaveExperience working with children in a school, childcare, or similar setting.A patient, nurturing, and empathetic approach.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and ..... full job details .....
