Our client, a distinguished consultancy in the rail sector, is currently seeking a Technical Director - Rail to join their team in Manchester.Key Responsibilities:Technical design and delivery of multiple concurrent projectsUndertaking the role of Rail Discipline Manager or Rail Discipline DirectorDay-to-day management, direction, and training of staffActing as a role model for others in the companyDeveloping relationships with new and existing clients and identifying potential workPreparing fee budgets, proposals, and resource requirements for projectsCo-ordinating with other engineers across regional offices and technical groupsManaging the preparation of calculations, drawings, and other documentsManaging and liaising with clients on proposals and project workSpecifying and/or managing site examination and investigation works safely and effectivelyIdentifying and managing risks to acceptable levelsJob Requirements:Extensive experience in multidisciplinary rail technical design deliveryIn-depth knowledge of Network Rail standardsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCADExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong team leadership abilitiesCommitment to developing the technical skills of junior staffDesirable Skills:Experience leading contractor frameworks in the rail sectorBroad relationships with key Network Rail stakeholdersQualifications:Chartered Engineer with ICE or CIHTExtensive experience, ideally between 15-20 years, in the rail ..... full job details .....
