To provide morning support on a permanent or casual basis to a teenage girl with a brain injury in a village near Atherstone, with support also needed after school on Mondays.There is the potential for increased hours at weekends in future. Our client needs supervision and guidance with her morning routine, and help to organise what she needs for school. On Monday evenings she needs collecting from school at 3.30pm and taking out for a meal and then to her swimming lesson where she will need supervision and prompting with showering and un/dressing.She enjoys activities that her support worker can join in with her, such as music, cinema, shopping and arts/crafts.She also enjoys supporting others and spending time with her siblings and pets at home. She has a huge love of the character Stitch! Our client is generally a bubbly, chatty young lady who enjoys pamper sessions and likes her support worker to help her to straighten and style her hair or paint her nails. The role will involve supporting our client to manage her routine and personal care (supervision and support as needed), to access activities, to maintain her safety away from home and ensure that she is enabled to enjoy social activities in the community on a regular basis.
