Time Recruitment Solutions are currently working with a global business based in Bury, having been established for more than 50 years and having moved to a state of the art facility they are currently transitioning through a busy period where they predict record growth for a third successive year.Now due to the growth they are looking for an experienced Health and Safety Officer to join the business. Purpose:To ensure that the all regulatory and compliance commitments are maintained with health, safety and environmental regulations, legislation and policies and minimise occupational risk in the workplace. Is an ambassador of the positive health and safety culture within the business to drive a safe working environment.Main Duties: Drive a health and safety culture within the working environment to ensure all colleagues adhere to health and safety policies and procedures. Develop, implement and monitor the Environmental and Safety Management System, procedures, documentation and audit system. Responsible for undertaking EHandS compliance evaluations inspections and audits in line with requirements, co-ordinate outputs and liaise with site management to ensure action are completed. Advise on the improvement to ways of working to, continuously improve EHandS standards within the company. Identify risks and carry out appropriate risk assessments in all areas.
